Junior Achievement of Chattanooga is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering young people to own their economic success. Our volunteer-driven K-12 programs foster work readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy skills, and use experiential learning to inspire students to dream big to reach their potential.

 

Scholarships are a unique way for Junior Achievement to say, “We believe in our students pursuing higher education.”

 

Junior Achievement of Chattanooga will award four (4) $1,500 scholarships to seniors who have experienced Junior Achievement.  Recipients will receive $500 freshman year and $1,000 sophomore year with a 2.75 GPA at end of  freshman year and full-time status.  Each recipient must confirm his/her full-time status for the upcoming academic year before July 31.

 

Recipients are required to be present Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. for the Junior Achievement of Chattanooga “Free Enterprise Cup” Scholarship Golf Classic where the recipients will receive their official letter from the Junior Achievement Board / Vice Chair of Education.

 

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

•Applicant must be a senior who has participated in and completed a Junior Achievement (JA) program while in high school in Hamilton, Marion (TN) or Catoosa, Walker (GA) County.

•Applicant should have a minimum cumulative un-weighted GPA of at least 2.5.

•Applicants receiving full scholarships and/or grants are ineligible.

•Immediate family members of Junior Achievement of Chattanooga staff and board members are not eligible.

 

 

Scholarship Finalists will be interviewed Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at the Junior Achievement of Chattanooga office.
